disney finally shows some lgbt support on ‘good luck charlie’ 1/26/14
ok i really like how instead of being like “GASSSSPPPP WOW WHAT THEY’RE GAYYYY???? *asks a bunch of invasive questions*” its just like, kinda casual?? and has the like, little awkward but not embarrassing moment of realizing, oh wait. they’re two moms, not the same person. Like they realize they made a stupid assumption and were like “oops, we dun goofed” like I think that was actually handled really well considering that its a kids show and ppl want to like, protect their children from queer families but this is a really nice way to do it
no but the best part is how he got the name:
his name was originally “potatoes,” and his owner, willoughby bertie, told the stable lad who helped him to write the horse’s name on a feed bin. the boy misheard it as, literally “pot-eight-o’s” and wrote it with 8 o’s. bertie found it so funny that he kept that as the horses name.
