we had my parents’ bathroom redone, and they got a new toilet. since we no longer needed it, we put the old one out on the curb by the driveway to be picked up this week. apparently, in the middle of the night last night, someone came up to it, lined newspaper under it, spray-painted it gold, and cleaned up after their paint job!
