Miniature Tree Carved From McDonald’s Olympic Paper Bag

We’ve seen artist Yuken Teruya work his magic before, carving everything from fancy department store bags to fast food bags into magnificent miniature trees, but this new work by the Japanese artist stands out for its true ingenuity. Called Notice-Forest: What Victory Tastes Like/ London, the artwork is made up of only the new Olympics version of the McDonald’s paper bag and some glue. Love how he used the blue parts of the bag for the trunk and limbs and the red and orange parts for the leaves.

This is just one of many incredible artworks being shown at David B. Smith Gallery’s new group exhibition that’s going on until September 1.
