Judging by the signs in the background, I’m guessing that this was done somewhere in the former Soviet Union, a place that is sprinkled with hundreds of statues dedicated to the girth and mightiness of the soviet autocratic authority.

That horse most likely wasn’t put in place as some labor of love by some artist, it was a propaganda piece, and that “touch-up” probably wasn’t just a simple act of fandom gone (forgive the pun) haywire.

Painting over soviet propaganda pieces seems to be a common form of protest over there.

So please, Tumblr, for the love of god, GET SOME FUCKING CONTEXT BEFORE YOU CONDEMN PEOPLE YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW!
