Because hey all that person is doing is changing a short i into a long e. However if you’re Pilipino, you’re going to say “Pipty Pie” and that’s just a lot harder to understand. Especially since THE F SOUND IS LITERALLY IN THE BEGINNING OF THE NAME OF YOUR COUNTRY, WE KNOW YOU CAN SAY IT.
